On the Ice

1Last winter, I wobbled.
I slipped and I fell.
I hugged the cold wall
and waited for the bell.

2Now I glide on my skates.
I push the black puck.
I zoom to the net,
and I do not get stuck.

3Coach Lee blows her whistle.
We line up in a row.
She smiles at our team
and shouts, "Go, go, go!"

4Next week, we will play
in a real hockey game.
I will skate very fast,
and Dad will shout my name!
