Zoe Meets the Book Makers

Listen. Tell who wrote the words and who drew the pictures.

Listen to the story

Your teacher reads a story about a bookstore and one page from a book. In this sheet, the picture is told in words.

Zoe at the Bookstore

Zoe went to the bookstore. Two people sat by a stack of books called Walrus Wants a Hat.

"I am Ms. Bell, the author," said the woman. "I wrote the words."

"I am Mr. Diaz, the illustrator," said the man. "I drew the pictures."

Zoe got a book. Ms. Bell signed it, and Mr. Diaz drew a tiny walrus inside.

A Page from Walrus Wants a Hat

Walrus shivered. "My head is cold," he said.

Picture: Walrus sits on the ice. Snow falls on his head.
